So I found this & thought it was an unreal idea.
Especially because Daddy Moz was going to throw out our old street directory from 2008!
So I came up with this
I would have liked to use a white frame & black cursive writing,
but when you need to make it straight away because your excited,
whatever is lying around will do.
I did sand the frame back and mix a little green paint.

ReplyDeleteDanielle, I found your site via Pinterest and stayed awhile to look around - you're so talented! I just made a birthday gift for my mom using this tutorial as inspiration. I ended up cutting out silhouettes of the states where my mom and her husband were each born, and where they now live. It turned out great!

Thanks for being inspiring!
Melissa
Hi Melissa, I just had a look at your maps. They turned out great!
DeleteI'm so glad that I inspired you. And I'm very jealous that you have a silhouette machine, it's really hard to get over here.
Happy Crafting!
Danielle
I found this on Pinterest.
ReplyDeleteI am a Geography major and I'm getting married in two months so I thing this is really neat and I am going to make this for my fiance. I'm thinking about getting a little larger frame and including map hearts for where we are each from, met, engaged, and wed. I also think it would be a neat idea to be able to add smaller frames hanging from the bottom for places we've lived, major vacations, or where are future kids are born. As we travel more and our family grows this project can grow with us. With Bing Maps or Google Maps you could do this for anywhere in the world.
Thanks you for this Love Map, i done it with pleasure for our wedding birthay and you can see my version onto my blog tomorrow ;-)
ReplyDeleteSO unique! Love this and can't wait to make ours! THANK YOU for sharing! Pinning :)
