Easter Party for Two!

We are always away camping over the Easter Holidays. 

We miss out on Easter parties with friends & cooking up a big feast.

So I put on a small Easter party for the kids.

It was a Surprise. 

I set up while they were at Daycare.

You make the baby chicks by using icing pens.

Do them just before serving. 

Mine were made a little too early & they run.

My inspiration came from here.

They had the best time.

I loved making everything & setting up.

We will be reusing the decorations for the Easter parade on our camping holiday!

Easter Bunny Shoes

How cute are these shoes!!

Remember back when I made the Superhero Shoes

Well, I saw this  and knew that I had to make them.

Totally awesome!!

And the mini mozzies will be wearing them in the Easter Parade while we are camping next week!

Felt Chick & Bunny

Remember way back when I posted my first Tutorial on Felt Owls

I've always thought about how many animals you could make, 

SO

 because Easter is just around the corner.

I whipped together a

Chicken & Bunny. 

With the bunny I cut rounder pieces of felt to make the bunny have a softer look.

The chicken has cute little feet.

With hot glue you can add anything, maybe little bow ties would look cute!!

Favourite Teddy into a Picture

Zac loves his Teddy.

He has no name, just Teddy!

Teddy has been everywhere with us.

But now Teddy only goes to bed with Zac.

He is slowly growing up & doesn't need poor Teddy all the time.

I wanted to make sure we always remembered Teddy just in case

one day we forget about him!

I actually took this photo on my phone

& used 'Little Photo' to add some small affects.

I framed it & it now sits above his bed!

He loves it!

Baby Chick Wreath

Last Easter I found the little baby chicks on the clearance table for $1 a bag. There were around 20 in each.

Yes, I bought 5 bags!

How could I not?

So, since then, I had been searching for a idea and I found this from Design Editor. She really did a great job.

I thought that it was the perfect project to get rid of my hoarding bag loads of chicks.

By the way, I do think that they are really ugly & doubted myself when buying so many!

But I think that this looks really cute.

This is what I did

Use a flat polystyrene ring, the round ones take up too many chicks.

This wreath used about 100 chicks!!

Lucky I got a bargain.

Paint the foam with yellow, so that if any gaps show it will still look chicken.

Lucky for me I had left over from when I thought a bright yellow play kitchen would look great! 

I  started by sticking the chicks feet into the foam, but they didn't stay, so I used a hot glue gun.

 On the side on the ring you can see in the picture below how I glued them on.

  I twisted the heads around a little to look the same as the others.

Very cute I think!
